The First two weeks
I was very fortunate, and the three months of hard work finally came to fruition. Yes, I successfully applied for GSoC-2018.
I remember that I was sleeping late that night when I received the email. At about 12:34, I received an email from the summer office of Google Programming, “congra..” I can’t believe it. But I have succeeded, then I sent a circle of friends to commemorate this meaningful thing,
Like Sinboska said ” We re extremely fortunate not to know precisely the kind of world we live in.”
After that, I received other emails, improved pannner information, and completed other information registration.I continued to learn about GTK+. This thing is very interesting. It is different from QT and is based on GOBJECT.
It is difficult to master this project. My project doesn’t have any documentation, and I only use very few comments. I can only guess the function of each part by the name of the function.
After coming out of the excitement, I continued to study my gnome-logs. I have some understanding of the functions of its various files.
What followed was 2 weeks of bonding and interacting with the community (which I had already grown fairly familiar to), learning the gnome-logs and getting to know the project and organization even better. Luckily for me, contributing for about 5-6 months helped me with these, so the bonding period felt comfortable.
come on!
